Q: Do I need an appointment for the estimate?
A: Yes. We schedule estimates so that our customers will have little or no wait time.
Q: Do I have the right to choose the repair shop of my choice?
A: Yes, California Law states that you have the right to take your vehicle to the repair shop of your choice. Your insurance company cannot require you to go to a particular repair facility.
Q: Why is an insurance company recommending a repair facility to me?
A: Some insurance companies have “direct repair programs” set up with certain repair facilities. In lieu of insurance companies sending work to these shops, the shop will discount their labor and parts to the insurance company.
Q: Am I required by law to obtain more than one estimate?
A: No, you are not required by law to obtain more than one estimate or appraisal.
Q: Should the repair facility or the insurance company write the estimate?
A: Some insurance companies may want you to visit their drive-in claims center to have the estimate written. You can do this, or you may leave your car at our facility and ask the insurance company to inspect the car here. Some insurance companies will request us to write the initial estimate.
Q: Why are there differences in estimates?
A: Differences in repair estimates are common. A lower estimate may not include all of the necessary work. If you are unsure about the differences please feel free to ask.
