Top-Quality Auto Collision Repair
in San Diego

Restoring a vehicle requires a different mindset than completing a traditional collision repair. Every project has its own history, condition and goals, whether the vehicle is a classic car, collector vehicle, performance model or a meaningful car you want to preserve for years to come.

With more than four decades of auto body and refinishing experience, Amato’s Auto Body provides vehicle restoration in San Diego with careful attention to craftsmanship and detail. Our team evaluates each restoration individually and works to develop an approach suited to the vehicle and the desired finished result.

Vehicle restoration may involve correcting years of exterior damage, repairing or replacing body panels, addressing corrosion, restoring panel alignment and completely refinishing the vehicle.

The process begins with a detailed evaluation of the vehicle’s body and existing finish. From there, our technicians can identify areas requiring repair and develop a restoration plan based on the condition of the vehicle.

Professional preparation and refinishing play an especially important role in restoration work. Our experienced paint technicians use advanced color-matching and application techniques to help achieve the intended appearance, whether the goal is to recreate an original finish or complete a carefully selected new look.

Restoration scope and capabilities can vary by vehicle, so each project should be reviewed individually with the Amato’s team.

Amato’s has been repairing and refinishing vehicles in San Diego since 1980. That depth of experience gives our team an understanding of both modern repair technology and the craftsmanship required for vehicles built in earlier eras.

Our restoration work brings together body repair experience, professional refinishing, advanced equipment and careful attention to the details that make a specialty vehicle unique.

Whether you are restoring a longtime family vehicle, a classic automobile or a collector car, our goal is to help preserve what makes the vehicle special while delivering the finish and workmanship the project deserves.
